We are deeply moved by the tsunami-catastrophe which has hit south-east Asia. Together with a charitable trust we plan to contribute in aiding the people affected by the flood. Tsunami-House
Innovative structural design for the purpose of building comfortable living space for the people affected in the Tsunami–catastrophe. The Concept is based on sustainable and easy available local resources. The skeleton is made of bamboo with Bambutec joining technology.

Structural framework as a monolithic body, stable in all 3-dimensions. Structural floor slab, walls and strucural roof slab are integrated members of the house-body. The strucure fits in a grid of 1m and is divided into modules. The modules like Strucural floor slab, corner pillars, wall elements and structural roof slab can be prefabricated. The assembly and errection of the house is done by inserting rods in particular positions. The paneling is not relevant in terms of statics and can be done with traditional methods as well with different composite-boards, available in the market. The structure is deemed to be absolutely earthquake proof independent of a particular foundation. Four footing-points in the corners are sufficient. Anchoring to the ground would be redundant in case the floor-space is loaded with ballast like sand with a layer of clay or tiles on top.
