Cirklepad Almere
Circle path is a winning entry of a competition which was organized by Bosland Foundation and the municipality of Almere near Amsterdam. The competition asked to transform one hectare of existing forest into a museum-forest. The concept didn’t propose to design a new forest, but was an addition which places the existing forest in a new perspective. Walking this path is like walking a section through a forest, starting at the roots through branches all the way up to the peaks.
NEXT Architects from Amsterdam created the design.
The building itself is a big truss in the shape of tilted cylinder.
The round tour stars at the roots...
From the top you can inspect the treetops.
